Today I will share with you the home-cooked recipe of sweet and sour pork ribs. Every time I come to a party or a holiday table, I will make it so that everyone can enjoy it. This sweet and sour pork rib method was learned by my father and me, it doesn’t need to be fried, and the taste is more fragrant and healthier. Moderate sweet and sour, not greasy, rich and delicate taste, you won’t feel the abruptness of any kind of seasoning. The color is sugary, neither thick nor light. Even mixing rice with juice is just as delicious.

How to make sweet and sour pork ribs

Step 1

Wash the ribs with water and rinse until white.

Step 2

Add an appropriate amount of water to the pressure cooker and add green onion, ginger, garlic, aniseed, bay leaves and white wine.

Step 3

Blanch the washed ribs in boiling water.

Step 4

Strain out the water and place in a pressure cooker

Step 5

Cover and pressure cook for 8-10 minutes.

Step 6

Scoop up the cooked pork ribs, remove the onion, ginger, garlic and ingredients.

Step 7

Pour oil into a wok, add peppercorns, and stir-fry over low heat until fragrant.

Step 8

Add white sugar and brown sugar (add according to personal taste)

Step 9

Continue to simmer and stir-fry until the sugar is browned.

Step 10

Pour in the boiled ribs

Stir-fry until the ribs are colored.

Step 12

Add the rice fun soy sauce and balsamic vinegar.

Step 13

Add another bowl of broth for the ribs.

Cover and bring to high heat. Simmer for 5-10 minutes

Wait until the soup is almost dry, add salt to taste.

Finally, thicken the soup over high heat, and sprinkle some cooked sesame seeds on a plate.

Cooking tips for sweet and sour ribs

Cook the ribs in advance until they are 7 minutes cooked, and then cook over high heat until the soup is viscous, so that the ribs are not greasy and have a better taste. If you don’t use a volt cooker, cook for an additional 15 minutes.
