After learning Sister Xiao Gao’s naan video, I translated it into a recipe to facilitate the preparation of ingredients.

Ingredients for naan

All-purpose flour750 g Plain yogurt150 g

yeast4 grams Indian ghee or butter50 g
minced garlic30 g salt3 grams

How to make naan

Step 1

Prepare the flour and the rest of the ingredients

Mix the ingredients and knead the dough

Knead into 10 small doughs, grease the chopping board and hands. I made 12 doughs. Heat the pizza stone at the highest temperature.

Step 5

Garlic butter spread on the crust of the cake.

Step 6

Place scones on the pizza stone. Be careful not to burn it, you can take a colander, tie a damp cloth to it, buckle the cake to the damp cloth, and drop it on the pizza stone.

Step 7

My oven has a maximum temperature of 230 degrees, unlike Sister Xiao Gao’s oven, which can have 290 degrees, and my cakes are baked for about 10 minutes before leaving the oven.

I ate it with curry beef, it was charred on the outside and tender on the inside, and the water in the middle of the cake was very good, which was particularly delicious.

Cooking tips for naan

Be sure to use a pizza stone so that the cake is heated quickly, locking in moisture and crispy crust. The slate should be heated all the time in advance.
