Cranberries are the color of Christmas: homemade French toast with cranberry sauce
Breakfast at Christmas is more important. All shops and restaurants are closed for Christmas in the United States, so the whole family can’t go out for breakfast. And since everyone is busy making a big meal, no one will take care of your lunch at noon, so you should eat a little more for breakfast, skip lunch, carry it until dinner and then let go of your stomach to eat a big meal. Everyone has different tastes, and only French toast can make everyone like it. Since it’s Christmas, French toast should also have a Christmas flavor. Cranberries are one of the most commonly used ingredients for Christmas. Turkey is usually eaten with cranberry sauce, so almost every household uses cranberries, and there is usually a lot of leftovers. If you think turkey with cranberry sauce is weird, think about the fact that when you eat Swedish meatballs at IKEA, the waiter automatically serves you with a spoonful of cranberry sauce. In order not to waste the remaining cranberries, they are used to make breakfast, and French toast is unique, delicious and festive. This recipe makes 5 slices of French toast.
How to make homemade French toast with cranberry sauce
Step 1
Start by making cranberry sauce and sauce. Pour cranberries and white sugar into the pan and add the orange juice of half an orange.
Step 2
Cook over medium heat until the cranberries are bursting, if the juice is a little dry, add water depending on the situation.
Step 3
Boil into a thick sauce, as shown in the picture.
Step 4
Take a leak and strain out the thick juice of the cranberries (in a white patterned sauce cup). This thick sauce is used to pour over French toast. The strained cranberry pulp and part of the thick juice are cranberry sauce (in the small white bowl on the left in the picture below), which can be spread on toast or left for dinner with turkey, which kills two birds with one stone.
Step 5
Beat 5 eggs, rub in the orange zest of half an orange, squeeze in the orange juice of half an orange.
Step 6
Add salt, sugar, vanilla flavor, cinnamon powder.
Step 7
Add the milk and mix well with an egg soy sauce.
Step 8
Wrap the bread well in the egg mixture so that the bread absorbs enough egg mixture.
Step 9
Grease the bottom of the pan with oil over medium heat, and fry the bread coated in egg liquid in batches until golden brown on both sides.
Step 10
Place the bread on a plate, sprinkle with frosting, scoop a spoonful of cranberry sauce on top of the bread, and drizzle a circle of cranberry sauce over the plate. Delicious cranberry French toast is ready.
